I received a fully funded scholarship for a trainee at Institut des Sciences de la Terre (ISTerre), University of Savoy Mont Blanc Chambery, France. This research included running models of magma propagation in the stress field of the Nyiragongo-Lake Kivu region and performing analog experiments of fluid injection into a gelatin reservoir. The training aimed to acquire the skills necessary for modeling the lateral propagation of magma.
